Do you ever wish you liked skiing a little bit less?

Sounds like a dumb question, but i know that i'm not the only one here who's life revolves around skiing. It kind of becomes a distraction from everyday life which is usually a good thing, but also a bad thing I feel like. Is it possible to be too into skiing? Sometimes I'll be on my 4th hour of watching ski edits at 1:30 in the AM and then realize I totally blew off HW and then blow another hour on here. Maybe I'm just hyped af cause it the beginning of my first season in CO, but anyone else feel the same way, or am I crazy?

Yeah, cause it's fucking depressing living in the UK and not being able to ski every weekend. I'm gonna be lucky if I ski for one week this season due to £££ issues

If I liked skiing less I'd have straightened priorities, fewer injuries, and more friends. Most of my ski buddies flaked on skiing to pursue other things. Skiing isn't too bad though, at least I'm not one of those guys that sits on the couch watching football drinking busch light all weekend.

You just have to manage your priorities, if you find the internet is distracting you from HW, do your HW first or set a timer, something. You are the only one who can tell yourself to change and trust me as you get older, will power becomes very important.

Yeah, in a way... Skiing consumes 4-5 months of my year. Its time that I can spend with friends and family, making money at work and trying to have a social life. All I can think about when Im off the skis is how I wanna be back on it. Hell, I even have a "huck doll" as a fidget to remind myself how to send tricks when I have nothing to do. Skiing everyday is a great way to be broke. Also being in constant pain throughout the season is hard on the body and the mind.

But on the other hand, being obsessed with skiing took me across north america. I get to travel to exotic locations, meet like minded people and put myself in crazy areas that most people will only see in pictures for advertisement. It what drives me in life; without skiing, I would be fat, lazy and without any outdoor skills.

I take the good and the bad. The only time I will quit skiing is when I cant walk anymore.

100% understand what you mean. Sometimes I feel like a loser for not going out on the weekends with my buddies in the city cause I need to wake up early to head to the mountain.

Then when I'm at bars I remember why I fucking hate them and skiing is the only thing that makes me happy

There isn't a day I don't think about skiing.. I've skied for 7 seasons now, and when the season is about to begin (2 weeks for my local resort) I feel like the purse to get to ski is getting bigger and bigger every time.. Fuck I love skiing, not going to quit anytime soon

But I mean, yea sometimes I wish I didn't love skiing this much but after all this is one of the rare things that makes me truly happy at this point of life

I’m not sure what I’d do without skiing but it sure can consume a lot of well needed time like last night when I finished my homework early and proceeded to research skis until 2:30 am

Definitely relatable, in the last three years I've had three injuries and always tell myself I need to tone it down. Then I get back on skis and realize how fun it is to get out of your comfort zone
