Replying to Alaska is the future of skiing?
alright so I've seen lots of stuff saying by 2050 half of ski resorts won't be viable, (unless snowmaking improves) and the season will start later at most resorts.
building resorts in alaska could solve this problem. alyeska is the biggest resort in the state right now, and it gets over 400 inches of snow a year. Its only 3000 feet in elevation so its season lasts december-march. imagine the temps and snow at a 10k footer in alaska. glacier skiing all around could exist and good skiing could outlast climate change
also why has no one brought up this idea
