How easy is it to get back in to skiing after not skiing for a few years?

Has anyone had a long break from skiing? If so did it take you long to get back to where you were skill wise? I haven't skied for a few years and I'm going to start again this season. I'm kind of worried I'll have to learn everything again, especially in the park.

You’ll likely be better than you were

I took a 2 year break before I started park and I don't recall it being hard at all to relearn just skiing,. Probably took about a day to feel comfortable again. Not sure how easily park skiing will come back but I doubt it will take that long.

It’s like riding a bike man give It a day and you’ll be back to where you were. It’s not really something that you just forget how to do.

I came back after like 5 years last season and was a lot better than I ever used to be by mid season. the hard part is just getting those ski muscles back

you'll be rusty but that rust will come off really quickly and you wont have much problem. i ski super seldom nowadays and have no problems with it at all. dont worry about it!

I went from. Being a 180 day a year high level sponsored skier to not skiing for almost 2 years dude to a gnarly knee injury. This last nth winter I went to Russia for 3 weeks and i thought I had lost. My high level ability.. then this Aussie winter I finally got a sick pow day turns out I can still ski just had to get over the injury. Time and practise you can do anything just put your mind to it .
