Yo what are the sickest gloves

Yo NS,
I need new gloves but most gloves are shit quality or are lame. I had a few pairs of Celtek gloves because they have cool designs but they usually only last me half a season. I just want some real cool gloves that aren't just meh. Hook me up with some suggestions.

I wear Kincos but my roommate has a sick pair of leather Dakine mittens that were fairly cheap and seem pretty high quality. I also know some dudes who shelled out for Hestras and they're ridiculously nice but personally, I could never justify that price point.

I rode up the chair one time this guy, he had mittens that made each of his hands look like snake heads... Pretty steezy if you ask me.

Depends on budget. Kinco makes some good cheap gloves (>$25) but Black Diamond Equipment has really high-quality gloves, but most come at a price. Try these:

I wear these, I think it's worth the investment like any other piece of equipment. Nobody like cold hands, never had a problem with these.

Look into Dakine gloves. You can get some GoreTex ones with a cool design for around $50. If your hands don't get too cold, you can also check the Armada Carmel gloves/mitts. I have a pair and love them, but they're not meant for really cold days.

Gardening gloves must be new wave, I prefer my hands stay warm. That being said goretex is the way to go

Not gloves but mitts. they dont sell them anymore but they are the best design and warmth. POW gloves Hack mitt, it zips open to use your phone or whatever you need. but the zipper does not let in any cold or snow, used on 10 degree days without an cold hands. also used on 45 degree days without hot hands. super practical and the leather has held up amazing with over 3 seasons of 50+ days on snow. you can still find them on amazon and some other sites.

On that level the Armada Turducken 3L mitts look pretty cool too. $250 (but you get a pair of liner gloves, a pair of down mitts and the shells for that price)

kincos are sick, and expensive dakines or hestras or whatever are sick if you have the money, but personally i love my black diamond dirt bag gloves. pretty damn cheap and fit well and dont have a big doofy wrist gator.

We're working on bringing out some mittens which are gonna be pretty sick - reinforced leather construction, elastic wrist leash and a couple of designs (check out our site for an idea of our style).

To me the most important feature is waterproofness. Having super warm mitts is great but if your hands are wet mid-day then no matter how fluffy the inside of the mittens is, you're gonna have a bad time.

I have had everything from treated and baked Kinco's to Hestra. And while I love my Hestra, the best, warmest and longest lasting have been a pair of Swany's that just won't die.

Black Diamond Guide Gloves are super nice, but a little “stiff” for the first 50 days.

Hestras are awesome, but they need to be treated more than the BD Guides.

Sweet thanks for feedback - trying to decide between adding a waterproof membrane to between the leather outer and insulation... obviously it means complete waterproofness however can also make your hands sweaty. Leather does a pretty good job of being waterproof so long as it is treated.

Total waterproofness might be an overkill if you lose all breathability. Leather is always nice though. Just gotta make sure the seams are waterproof. I'd buy a full leather mitt, but they're usually too warm for me.

I ski ropes in the midwest so if your looking for simple, waterproof gloves, go with black gardening gloves.

+1 on the oven mitts, the thumb leather got a little shredded but for the price and for the 2 years i have had them, they have bren excellent

Oyuki makes sick ass gloves. Same price as Hestra but use Gore and primaloft gold.
Pep's Pro glove is my favorite.
Be on the lookout for this company to become a leader in the glove game.

Hestra's are warm (nowhere near the warmest), they look good, and they're remarkably comfortable but they're not especially durable.
