It is always a fun time. It's an east coast opening day, please don't expect mid season park conditions. However, this is the first season they are making snow with their updated snowmaking system so I believe this is going to be the best opening day in a while. See you saturday!

Been up there 2 of 3 open days so far. Conditions are actually good. They stopped snowmaking due to warmer weather until hopefully Friday they will fire up again.

I went yesterday (monday) it was better then i thought. Made me miss colorado though. Icey shitty snow. Lots of fun rollers tho. And the park had a jump. Awf jump but they had one which is crazy. Waiting for a hour for then to open the gulch lift. For some reason. Eneded up there at a out 1030am they were just pushing snow so we could ski tp the lift. I was thinking tjat should hsve been done prior to 1030am but fuck it. Usual gray depressing day. Like all winter in vermont. But i got to slide on snow and for that i am grateful. I can say that there was a decent amount of vert tho. As good as keystone or a basin is. Just horribke horrible man made snow. But im spoiled after 6 years in colorado. So be that as it may it was worth the trip.

Thanks for the comment man. Call me a Mount Snow fan boy have you, but with the new snow system installed they have been able to crank out A LOT more snow. Luckily the temps have reasonably keep cool enough to blow daily as needed.
Sounds like you got there early on in the day. From what I’ve heard from makers and groomers (I’ll hear it for this one if I’m wrong) is that the man made snow doesn’t sit as well to make for those firmer conditions you get out West throughput the season. Lucky you’ve been able to enjoy six years out there. Many friends have move and stayed others came back.
So I appreciate the review as I’ll agree too, official snow reports don’t 100% always tell the full story.
Enjoy you season!
