Cheap Ski Trip Out West?

So my buddies and I decided to do a short spontaneous trip out west somewhere on December 9th and 10th. Anyone have any suggestions for cheap flights and lift tickets? Places to go?

My thoughts are either fly into Denver or SLC based on flight cost and proximity to ski resorts. I'm already planning on hitting up SLC in February and skiing a bunch of places (except Park City), so we were thinking maybe Park City. The only issue is their lift tickets cost an arm and a leg, almost $220 for 2 days. Anyone here know if we can get a discount at Park City or can help out with it? They dont have any liftopia deals. We were also thinking Copper mountain because Frontier offers a buy one get one deal.

I would also love to go to Jackson and stay in the hostel because they are getting nuked right now, but flights are pricey.

Just my opinion, but i wouldn't waste the time/money/planning for only 2 days of skiing.

When you live in Ohio, any ski trip somewhere decent requires either a long af drive and/or some cash involved. Shit last year I drove 12 hours overnight through a snowstorm to Vermont, skied the day, stayed the night, and drove home the next day. The struggle is real... It sucks, but I need to fuel my addiction. Once you get a taste of the good stuff, you really can't go back. And getting a week plus off work is difficult for most of my friends, so we are limited in trips we can take.

Just looking for suggestions. Any help is much appreciated.

I can't help out with lift ticket discounts but if you wind up in SLC you're more than welcome to crash at my place for free. One option (not sure how solid this is but worth a try) is there are lots of Utah credit unions that will hook you up with lift tickets as a promotion for opening up an account with them. You could just keep an eye out for those promotions and put $50 in a checking account. There's like Deseret First, Cyprus, & Mountain America. There are also car dealerships that will hook you up with lift tickets if you test drive a car.

Id find the best deal out of these because you only have the two days to ski it youd be best spending the least ammount of time getting there and to the mountain

Yo for sure go to PC. Thats were Tom Wallisch and a lot of the Vishnu guys ski. Idk, I've seen lots of dope edits

not sure if youll be able to find cheap flights for those days.. if you decide to go to salt lake city, go to brighton. Fuck Park city. Its overpriced and overhyped. Rails are better there and b town has a better vibe.

Dude my roomate and I are planning a (sick) ski trip this December. Skipping christmas with family to ski 3-4 days out of SLC, probably Alta, park city, Brighton.. Then heading to ski 3 days in Colorado too.

To keep it cheap we're bringing a camp stove with canned food. Couch surfing at friends places (free lodging) Getting the epic 4 day, I'm not from Colorado, but I hear resorts can catch upards of 150-200 a day, so 500 bucks for 4 is a deal. Also check out what a season pass from your home mountain will get you.. My Brundage pass will get 50% off at Alta, and free days at a few other mountains.

Coming from Washington, budgeting to keep this trip under 2 grand.

I work at Breck and get half off vouchers that I most likely won't end up using. If any of yall end up here we can mob for cheap. Also have couches to crash on.

Ended up going with Colorado and either Winter Park or Copper Mountain. Got hotel, car, flight, lift tickets for $350. The 2 day lift ticket will cost more than half of that $350. Not too shabby. There's a lot of places, that you can't even get a flight that cheap.
