TrabekI bought litecoin
TrabekIt's my way of investing/saving for the future
TRVP_ANGELOne of these things is not like the other
BitcoinI need a p & d
T.L.I miss the good old days of the last bull run. Discord telegram signals were.. fun.
BitcoinThose are the last places you wanna be if you're trying to make money
T.L.yeah, now that the SEC has been investigating them. December '17/January 18', there was PLENTY of money to be made.
BitcoinWell not listening to a bunch of bullshit in a chat channel, intuition in markets would make you money.
T.L.You mentioned p&d which I assumed you meant the pump and dump signal groups that were going around last year. Some were well over 100k people strong. They absolutely worked. That's what I'm talking about so I'm not sure what you're struttin around about.
DolanReloadedLot of lucky people rode bitcoin on its way up
But alot of unlucky ppl rode bitcoin back down and probly are
Suicidal right now
ElChapoTrapHauscame across this in my daily rage reading. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/22/majority-of-bitcoin-trading-is-a-hoax-new-study-finds.html . Not a ton of info, and could be better sourced. What do the savvy investors on Newschoolers think?
T.L.It's called wash trading. Exchanges have been obfuscating real volume by counting wash trading as the volume #'s they would display on their sites. It's been know for a long time. Loads of South Korean exchanges were caught doing it last year and coinmarketcap had to adjust their data they were displaying.
Overall, I'm not shocked. It's an unregulated space where the big players just do what all the other big players do. Over time the crypto space will continue to mature. Like I said, hearing confirmation about something we all have known has been going on isn't that shocking.
T.L.It was tough watching so many people make bad decisions over, and over, and over again.
People were far too emotional with their bags they had filled up thinking the bull run would last forever with only a ~1-2% adoption rate at that point. They were afraid to skim profits.
A good example are the people who rode bitconnect to its end and didn't want to believe it was a scam.
Seeing veiled suicidal statements being made on reddit and twitter was pretty common. Luckily the crypto community as a whole is decent enough to reach out to people in need and talk them down, or point them towards help.
