Has anyone skied the 2018 ARV 106, what did you think of it and where should you mount?
There are not a lot of reviews online for the 2018 model

.nasty.
I love the ski, has that playful park oriented style to it but a much longer turning radius than say the ARV 96 so it can charge big mtn terrain extremely well.
.nasty2018 is the same as 2017, just a new topsheet.
I love the ski, has that playful park oriented style to it but a much longer turning radius than say the ARV 96 so it can charge big mtn terrain extremely well. I've never had it fold up or wash out at high speeds on steep terrain like other similar skis. Mine is mounted at the -2.5cm line and I highly recommend it, the next line further back on the ski doesn't sit on the sweet spot of the camber profile as well.
Crispy.Pardon me for me newbiness about big mountain skiing, but what is the benefit of a long turn radius for a charger ski? Just more stability? Obviously the advantages of small turn radius in the park are pretty self explanatory. ..its more of a preference thing than anything. I personally like the longer turning radius as it draws out the turns longer which coincides with fast charging skiing very well. However some like a short turn radius when it gets steep so they can initiate turns a little quicker when things get dicey. It’s all preference.
steviewanderThat sounds pretty solid thanks man.the 2018 is exactly the same as the 2017, trust me. However, Evo has a collab coming out in December and there will be a ARV106Ti that has a sheet of titanal for added stiffness for even better charging qualities. I think both versions will still be very relevant, just with the Ti version able to hold up better when say, hucking steep cliffs to chalky conditions.
I think the 2018 is supposed to be stiffer this year do u think that would be an improvment?

steviewanderDamn that sounds even better but idk if I can wait that long
.nastyYeah I hear ya, just get the regular 106. You’ll absolutely love it. It’s my 90% of the time ski here in Breck.
