Replying to Upper and Lower Body Protection for Freestyle Skiing?
I got into freestyle skiing last year and got beat up from rails and jumps basically every time I went. I would have huge bruises on my hips, knees, tail bone, and I even bruised a few ribs and got the wind knocked out of me, which sucked. It really affected how much I was able to go skiing. I know falling is what comes with getting into freestyle, but I can't deal with all the pain again this year, so I've been trying to decide on upper and lower padded protection. I've narrowed it down to two choices/companies, Crash Pads and Forcefield. Crash pads chest and spine protector 6500 or the crash pads upper body armor 6100, along with the thermal long underwear 2200. Or, the Forcefield Pro Shirt X-V and the Forcefield Pro Pants. I've heard mixed reviews about the crash pads, and the armor doesn't look the best. The quality of the Forcefield protection looks a lot better to me and I've read great reviews on it, but it is a lot more expensive than the crash pads. I'd appreciate it if you guys can help me decide on what to get, or if you can tell me what protection you wear.
