Average Ability of Snowboarders

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but in the last 3-4 years the average snowboarder got worse and worse. When I used to board like 5 years ago and before that, most people that did it were pretty good, and hit jumps. Now that so many people jumped on the bandwagon, most people you see suck and there's always people on the verge of running into someone. Maybe it's just where I ski at...
I dont know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Obviously the more people that do something, the greater the likelihood that some will suck. And by common sense, there are always going to be more bad people than amazing ones. So as many more people started snowboarding, we still only realize the few good ones. Wait a few years though, when all these kids who you say are shitty are ripping up the park.
Skiing and snowboarding are no different in that aspect. Yes, the average twintipper is most likely in the top skiers at his resort. But the snowboarders on alpine boards are most likely the best at their resort. So there are exceptions to each.

^exactly, i hope that doesn't happen to freestyle skiing where there's so many people that do it, it becomes less and less defined. I think when little kids choose between skiing and snowboarding, they pick what they think is going to make them look cooler so they go with boarding.
