Aspen suggestions

Sup. I've been Aspen/Snowmass for mtn. biking and such but never to ski. I know the park is the shit, obviously, but I'm looking to hit up some of the natural terrain. Any legit tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

snowmass or highlands....just look at a trail map and you'll figure it out.

I meant backcountry access, things that aren't obvious from the trailmap. I CAN read, fortunately.

I read that the X games slopestyle course was largely remaining intact. Anyone skied post-x-games?

they are still taking down the X games, but they havent plowed the slopestyle jumps yet, so they are intact as of now... snowmass kicks ass for both pipe/park and big mountain. i dunno of very many good out of bounds spots... we always go to snowmass when it snows.

if you're lazy, you can hike out of the gate at the top of Ajax and ski back there if you can get someone to pick you up at the road.

Snowmass is the best resort. They have a sick sick park setup, a sick pipe, and all kinds of terrain. Steep stuff, cliffs, long groomers, everything.

Go there, it is fun.

Highlands and Ajax dont have parks and Buttermilk has shit for terrain options outside the park. Ajax has this thing at the top like a rail yard, but its only open to the public on Thursdays, the rest of the week its for little kids who sign up for some program. But the dude who runs it, Othello, is cool as hell.
