4frnt Devastator 194

Has anyone skied the 4frnt Devastator 194? It looks sick but the only thing is idk if they are too stiff and heavy to butter in the 194. Mostly just doing 3s and 5s. I think it would be great to have a stable all mountain playful twin, but think that it would suck to have something that’s too heavy to spin easily and stiff to Ollie/press

I’m 5’11” 170lbs for reference. I ski the 194 -2cm from true center. They’re definitely not the best ski for butters but it’s not too hard with decent technique. I’d describe them as damp but not a 2x4. Sick ski if you’re looking ski fast everywhere. Let me know if I can help.

I’m 6’ 2” and 185 so I should probably be fine then. I’m coming off of some faction Candide 3.0s. How would you compare the flex of those to the devs. Or can you think of any skis with a similar flex to the devs? Also do they feel heavy when you’re skiing them? Sorry for the 20 questions. I’m trying to decide between the icelantic nomad 105 lite and the devastators

They are definitely stiffer than the candides and definitely my stiffest ski right now. Also, they’re definitely on the heavier side at i wanna day ~2700 grams but that’s part of what makes the ski work well in chop. It depends on where you’re riding at too. I’m in northern Utah and the devy has killed my quiver haha. I almost never take out the wide soft pow skis anymore, I skis the devys for everything except park. Although they can be a bit of work for really firm days off piste. I was definitely surprised how well they ski on groomers with the reflect tech, they have absolutely no speed limit.

I have a pair of icelantic nomad 105s in 191cm they are not that heavy and I'm 5 10 140lbs and I believe the normal nomad is easier to butter than the lite

Much stiffer and damper than the 3.0.....when I rode 3.0s I thought they were pretty noodley. They were fun for what they were....but I wouldn't consider them a charger.

Would you go 194 or 184? Can't decide which pair to buy haven't seen them in person either. Leaning to 194 but im 5'8'' and usually ski a 190. Seems like a long stick for an everyday ride

If you are leaning toward more freestyle I would go 184 if you are charging through crud I heard 194 is killer for that

How do you like them? How is the stability? Are they hooky at all?

I have not personally rode them but have known people who have. From what they have told me is they are extremely stable though crud with the 194. They never said anything about hookiness so I'd assume it doesn't really have that. They love them but note they are a heavy ski and if your spinning I think 184 would be better. I would wait for others to chime in eventually for other opinions

190 Bibby pro would also be a great option
