My brother may be doing a season there... still making his mind up but ill hit you up if he is

Just wondering. I'd like to do a season out in France/swiss this year but don't know what to do.

I'm a level 2 instructor but I know European resorts are funny about who they employ

If you are doing a ski season then never work as a ski instructor. You want to work for one of the travel companies that operate there. They recognize you are there for skiing, so only make you work your assigned job in the evening while giving you free accommodation, food, and a season pass. If you are willing to work hard you can ski everyday of the season.

Lol dude have you ever worked for one of those companies?? I used to slang to all those guys and they never got ski time and they get paid like 80 pounds a week... best thing you can do is take your car and drive to Meribel and then talk to some Frenchies and rent a house down the valley in Brides Le Bains its cheap as shit... Meribel is an amazing ski area but working for those travel companies is the European equivalent of being a Mexican fruit picker.

I'd counter that with be choosey in which company you work for. Some are great. Yeah you have to work hard, probably early mornings and late nights; but the rewards can be there. Tips can easily hit 150% of wages, and you get free accom, pass, probably even a good amount of food and free drink. Good companies will give you good insurance too. They will pay for your flights and transfers and you can almost certainly ski 6 days a week, at least 6 hours each day. Don't ever go for one of the big tour operators like Crystal or TUI.

Yeah man, working for a chalet company heading out at the end of November. You out this season?

Me and my girlfriend have been working in chalets for the last 2 years, it's hard work but you get all day on the mountain. And this year we get 2 days off a week so looking forward to maximum shred time.
