What to do in Seattle

The main place to surf is Westport. It's a bit of a drive out to the ocean from Seattle, but it's still worth doing a day trip. Within Seattle there is Lake Union, which is connected to Lake Washington, and Green Lake, which is like a glorified pond that has a huge park and cool neighborhood surrounding it. About ten miles east is Lake Sammamish, and there is a lot of good day hikes up in the I-90 corridor heading toward Snoqualmie Pass and beyond. To the West is Puget Sound, there is ferry service out to the main Islands which outside of a couple main tourist areas are sparsely populated and really amazing, all sort of unique in their own way. Spend some time out there and unplug if you get the opportunity.

Fish, Skate. Its pretty spendy up there FYI. I know that Southpark has good Mexican food.

I grew up in Seattle and now I go to CU Boulder and I can't wait to go back home. Take a ferry ride to the San Juan islands and camp, ski, if you skate there are lots of sick skate spots. The food in Seattle is awesome. Go to gasworks park at night, Carkeek park is dope because there are trains there. Golf, bike, swim....soooo much to do

Pretty sure I learned from a Tom Hanks movie that you're definitely not supposed to sleep..

Honestly try and climb mount rainier, looks dope, wasn't there long enough but really wanted to have a crack at it.

Definetly hit up Westport. Sweetwater surf is great, super nice people. Depending on when you go it'll be cold,but you'll have a wet suit set up not so bad.

Pretty sure all they do in Seattle is throw fish at Pike Place Market

I also interned in Seattle for a summer and ended up moving here a few years later.

Things I like to do in the city:
• Bike/walk around and explore
• Pack a lunch/dinner and chill in a park (Alki beach has the best sunsets)
• Get tacos at Marination in West Seattle and admire the skyline
• Also in West Seattle, get drunk and play arcade games at Vidiot (all games are free)
• Get baked and go to a movie. The downtown regal has recliner seats and the crest has super cheap tickets
• If the wind is good, rent a hobie cat from Sandpoint sailing center and rip around lake washington
• Eat Dick's
• Go to Madison park and make a fool of myself on the high dive

Things I like to do outside the city:
• Shred Hood or Whistler during the summer, both are ~4hr drive
• Surf Westport, I also suck
• Camp/explore the Olympic peninsula. Crescent lake is beautiful and has a fun cliff jumping spot
• Hike in the Cascades
