COMPUTER HELP

you have to save your current page, open a new one (File>new) and there you go..a brand new page to work on. The pages on a website arent really connected (other than by hyperlinks), they are all individual single pages. Then when you want to make the home page go to the picture page, make an abject (text, pic etc), select it, choose 'hyperlink' and type in the name of the page you want it to go to when that object is clicked. alwats add .htm at the end of the name. For example, if you make a home page named 'index.htm' (always a good idea to make the home page named 'index' ... this makes it the first page a browser goes to when you put in the site address), now you make a TOTALLY seperate page named 'photos' . now to connect the 2..go to the home page (index) and create a hyperlink to 'photos.htm' .. dont forget the .htm!!! ... now preview the home page and click the link...it will take you to the photo page. Remember.. THE PAGES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH EACHOTHER IN NO WAY OTHER THAN LINKS (unless u get into some much more complex stuff). Each page is a new, individually created page linked to the others with hyperlinks. Also, make sure to keep all the pages in the same folder or directory!

also, id advise against using frames in frontpage if your still new at it. frames require a bit more complexity. you have to create a seperate index frameset and page holder. Your index frameset holds whatever page you link to.. basically..the index always remains on screen, but when you press a link, the new page opens within the frameset. If your using rames in frontpage, try disabling scroll bars for a much smoother, nice look.

Yea learn to hardcode first, then you'll know how everything works, and then feel free to use the editor and tweak whatever.
