Replying to Transferring custom footbeds. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work/wouldn't be desirable?

So I have a pair of boots that I have absolutely loved for the past several seasons. Unfortunately, they're pretty beat now and definitely at the end of their life cycle. I've been pretty brutal on them. So I decided to buy another pair of the same exact boots. My question is, is there any reason that I should get new custom footbeds rather than simply taking my old custom footbeds out of the old boots and re-heat molding them into the new boots?
