I been looking to get a new pair of touring skis this year. I've narrowed it down to 3 different skis: Moment deathwishs, atomic backland 102's, or the line sickday tourists. help! Looking for any and all opinions on the 3 options. Thanks!

It comes down to what touring you will do and also binding selection I think. I have used light touring skis like the Volkl BMT range and although they are super easy on the uphill they dont ski as well on the downs due to the lightweight build. My preference is to go for a ski I want to ride on the way down and save weight with bindings and boots. This season Im going to use the Black crows anima with kingpins and K2 pinnacle pro boots. I save the weight in the boots and bindings but have a rad ski on the way down. You can also save weight going for lighter skins if you need. So if you are going all new consider where else you can save weight and get the ski you want for the downs. However if you plan on lots of multi day tours and the descents are not the main priority then saving weight on the ski too makes more sense.

I have line sick day tourists with kingpins and they rip when going up and down. My friend has atomic backland 102s and they are also really good skis, more versatile than line sick day tourist in my opinion and cheaper too. If I had choose now I'd get the backlands but tourists may ski a bit better and are lighter in the uphill, but they are not a twintip ski like backlands. So if you like to ski switch etc. backland would be better option. I'd get the backland 109 though since they have that fancy tech in the tip and are about same priced as 102.
