Wentworth NS has one and they always set it up wrong with a huge takeoff and no way to hit it from the side. It defeats the whole purpose of the feature.

I hate parks that are all just competition style tube rails. Single/double barrel rails and flat bars are more fun.

also miss rails that were super hard to clean, like s-coasters, double rainbows.

and quarter pipes.

No, my park has like 90% flat bars and shotgun rails and they are ass compared to a round tube style rail.

shotgun rails > larger tubes > flat bars > single barrel rails

Tubes, shotguns, and single barrels > flat bars >>>>>>>>> wide flat bars

I def think every park needs a couple longer features or hard to clear rails. Snowmass has a 4 inch z tube to down donkey dick. Took me like 12 tries to get what I wanted on it but was fun as fuck to hike it, and then finally get it.

Even ones that are so fucked just getting to the end are sweet. Especially when they're low ish to the ground. Generally equally low consequence because you just slip off the side if you don't make it to the end.

Sometimes having ones that are a single feature makes them a bit of a novelty though. Combos can be changed or be a feature on their own. Sometimes it's not worth it for places to build a massive feature that only a few people can hit. Plus a pain in the balls moving anything like that.

1/4 pipes kinda died with half pipes. Most resorts stopped fixing their pipe dragons and let them rust in the boneyards. 1/4 pipes go to complete shit really quickly and can be a problem if you don't have a cutter. That said you can build and maintain smaller 1/4s with the cat. I'm a sucker for 1/4 pipes though. Also dig the places that zaugg their jump knuckles.

Our parks have been kinda fucked the last month. Too much snow. Glad we finally pulled most of our features to reset. Should be working our way through the rebuild zone by zone.

On the plus we might build a mini pipe and or a weird skate bowl.

Powders been on point but it'll be cool now that we have a few chill days maybe get the parks looking good again.

Speaking of challenge rails....

We have like 6 more pieces of steel like that , my manager wants make a 40 foot long rainbow too but idk about that one haha

one year, our mountain staff who is shit at building parks build a side cut into one of our knuckles that was so grimey and sweet to throw ripe banana backies out of.
The sketchiest feature i have seen was easily a C box that was set up at like a 20 degree incline. didnt help that they set it up late into the season and the snow started melting real quick. you had to feel dangerous to even attempt it.
Caught tails to lip on a D rail once, suprised my head is still on my shoulders.
Today no beers. new years 2016 i hit that c box the morning after, feeling dangerous, and lawnchaired while tearing my ACL. great day !!
My park crew does the best they can with what they got. they seem to be getting better. probably watched a couple youtube tutorials.
