Replying to weak car accident

this is the gayest accident ever. i was backed into by a dodge dakota in my honda and its my fault.

I live on a two way street with parking on one side. I was traveling north and a truck was going south. The truck was passing parked cars on its right, I was passing parked cars on my left. The driver of the truck pulled into the second of two parking spaces and stopped. i attempt to park behind him, forcing me to cross, as the pig said, the‘imaginary line’. the front left of my car was passing behind this stopped truck when I noticed the reverse lights turn on. I stop. It backed into the front left of my car, denting my car pretty bad. It didn’t do much to the trucks bumper, but enough to have to replace it. We called the police, he said he should write me a ticket for parking the wrong way on the street, even though half the cars on the street were parked the same way I was parking. The officer said that he could issue a ticket to each car that was parked the wrong way but he doesn’t unless someone complains, and that I was at fault for the accident. Its only legal to park on my street if you are traveling south. If someone on even a residential street is parking behind you with the front of their car facing the oncoming traffic lane, feel free to back into them, just don’t cause any injuries. Its so gay that a car backed into me while I was stopped and I was at fault.
