Replying to Pads While Skiing??

INB4 iFlip says "you wear pads while you ski so your period blood doesn't leak in your pants because you're a pussy"

So Ive never used or worn pads while skiing, but Im curious, do most pros, or just park skiers in general wear pads? In the Cold Turkey traveling circus episode, LJ has a infected rash from a knee pad, but thats about all I've seen a pro skier wear for protection (besides helmets and knee braces). Do people wear pads? What kinds? I feel like a would be more daring and progressive if i had pads on, but id image them to be uncomfortable and unnatural.
