Replying to Guide to ski mtns in Europe

Hi all-

I just moved to the UK for the next couple of years and am planning to make several trips to the Alps to ski. However I'm not really sure where to start in terms of which mountains are good, times of the year to go, places with fun nightlife, etc. Has anybody seen a good online guide to skiing in Europe that would help? Have googled a bit but most are oriented towards chads.

PS I was going to post in the Europe regional thread but doesn't look like it has much activity, so figured I'd get more results here.
