Hi,
After talking to a bunch of German and italian coworkers, here is a list I assembled below along with some helpful links at the bottom
Best:
-Val d'Isère - big, good expert skiing and dec beginner skiing, fun nightlife. cons: expensive, hard to get to
-Méribel France - good nightlife and good mix of abilities for skiing. Could be hard to get to.
ISCHGL – FP says fun and decent skiing
Tignes – good skiing, looks hard to get to tho
Morzine avoriaz – FP recommends
FP Italy recommendations
Sellaronda
Alta Bodia
Groden
maybe:
-Cervinia - big, reliable snow. 90 min from turin
FP says kinda flat/dull
-Courmayeur, italy. good nightlife, good mix of abilities tho maybe more beginner oriented.
FP says kinda flat/dull
Corvara - italy, intermediate, need to do more research. FP says good on piste, no nightlife.
Cortina d'Ampezzo
"best charm" and advanced skiing. not sure how to get there. FP says $$$
Sauze d'Oulx, France. good nightlife, good intermediate but not necessarily good beginner/expert. FP Recommends
no:
livigno- cheap but too flat/far away
alpbach - beginner
Serre Chevalier - mixed terrain but "limited nightlife"
Pas de la Casa - andorra, good nightlife but unclear how good skiing is. crowded.
Söll - austria. cheap but mixed snow quality, not good for beginners
