the cheapest mic i'd get is the rode videomic go, but the videomic pro is much better.
as for stabilization, i had one of those knock-off glidecams and it really wasnt useable. i got an xr-4000 about a year ago and it is much much better.
they're for sale quite often on NS as well as the rode mics.
although disregard all this if you arent super serious about making edits and the quality

eheathI used a rode videomic go for a season, it works for the price, but the videomic pro is better. I'd probably sell you my rode videomic go really cheap. but thats because thats what it is worth. Any equipment you buy for filming will be worth what you pay for, the more you pay the better it will be in most cases, especially mics.
