a_burgerwachusett is hiring a new park manager right now actually. Owners are kind of wierd about the park and idk what the vibe is now but they have a decent budget regardless. Not that ghetto to begin with though either.
also basically the whole state of maine outside of sugarloaf and sunday river
theabortionatorI saw that actually. I can't say I know too much about the place either.
That's a bummer to hear about Maine. Literally bought every feature from a Mtn up there about 5 years ago. It was only 13 or 14 but it was their whole park. Felt kind of bad but it was getting sold or scrapped and I needed more features at the hill I worked at.
john18061806Lutsen Mountains Minnesota. 1000' vert, pristine views of lake superior, million dollar high speed chairs, and their park is an absolute joke. I'm struggling to find my post of their 10' tall cheese wedge jump to literally nowhere, it's somewhere in a crappy park thread. Rusty rails with terrible sets. Lutsen sits at the top of my list of worst parks in Minnesota even though it's the biggest and most high budget resort in Minnesota, pretty embarrassing.
Borty, I think you'd love it there if they'd let you do your thing. Don't know what kind of scene you're into outside of skiing but they've got a restaurant that holds music shows (a lot of legit local artists play there). Craft beer is big up there too. It's sort of isolated up there but its less than a 2 hour drive from Duluth, but the whole North Shore area is really beautiful if you're into nature and sht... intentional misspelling ;)

marrows100% this. They even managed to set one of their ancient kats on fire the season after I worked there.
john18061806Yep.
john18061806@borty that map is from '09 when their park was on mystery mountain, no clue what that thing was because I wasn't into the park scene then. In 2011 their park on moose mountain was actually incredible, just one season though. Death jump was from 2014 and the whole park was dicked. That year I didn't feel comfy hitting most of their features because of how poorly they were set.
Strange.Journey.Magic Mountain in Londonderry, VT. Best terrain in South VT. Recently came under new ownership and they are putting a ton of money into the mountain. Not sure what there park is like but when I went a few years ago it was only 2 rails. I heard they are putting in a handle tow for the park this year though so it might be better now but idk

JAHpowI don't think Lutsen really wants to cater to park skiers/boarders in the first place. That's Spirit's deal.
john18061806It's obvious they don't want to but with all the resources they've got I don't see why they couldn't try.
JAHpowIt will be interesting to see if they attempt to beef up their park with the terrain expansion proposed/planned. I don't really know what stage they're at with that expansion tho
-eREKTion-June Mountain. It's got the best vibe of any mountain I've ever been to, it's pretty much strictly locals because nobody's really heard of it. It has a park but there's potential for something truly rad if they made a full jib/transition park and added a rope tow. The area of the mountain where the park is at is semi-out of the way so you could definitely build up a park set up for lapping and preserve the family atmosphere around the rest of the mountain.
DeepskierSun Valley has potential to be great but it just sits.
