Long story short: I was planning on buying last years ARV 106 model this year as I desperately need a new pair of skis, then I magically stumbled across the last remaining pair of K2 Shreditor 102 (2016) online- the ones with the retro graphics. Try searching them- they are no where to be found. Anyway, I was all set on the Armada ARV 106 because they have gotten so much praise from everyone few and far between- I can't go wrong with them. I am just a little hesitant to shell out almost $500 on skis I've never tried before. I did however get to ski the K2s for a week at Targhee last year and they were super playful and smeared through the snow with ease on the one pow day we got. I wasn't as big of a fan for the K2s on groomers but I could manage. The Armada ARVs will run me about $150 more than the K2 skis.
My thoughts right now is the ARV is probably an all around better ski, but seeing as I have never ridden it, I can't comment, whereas the K2 was great. I will spend more time out of the park than in it. This ski will be my everyday ski. Just hoping for some brutally honest opinions and to hear from people who have either ski.
