I've done all necessary research and am fairly set on some Wets as my next skis. But I just wanted to know, from somebody who actually has experience riding them, are they solid enough on jumps? Or do they actually completely fold out under you if you land a bit backseat as people say they do?
i haven't ridden mine yet, however they are more like rubber bands than noodles, I would compare the handflex to something like a newer b dog or edollo. they seem very snappy, and i think a lot of the flex comes from the rocker. Also a few members of their team so crazy shit on jumps so I think they should be fine.
my homie has a pair i took a couple laps one em once we got the same boot bsl.
hitting big jumps on them is a little sus. They were surprisingly good in light pow.
landing backseat on jumps could be sketchy.
Like others I haven't ridden mine yet but I compared the handflex to my old line chronics, and the vishnus were stiffer than the chronics. Could be because I've used the chronics for two years and the v's are brand new, but I never had problems on jumps with the chronics so I think the v's should do fine.
If you know how to ski properly (assuming you can) the wets will be just fine. I hit 40 foot jumps on them almost every ski day & I have taken them on jumps as big as 70 feet. If your'e comfortable on skis these will be so fun on jumps, they're swing weight is practically nothing
