Skipatrol001Thanks for this info . I'll have a look at this and hawx xtd 130 when I get to Canada and see what fits my foot better . You can correct me if im wrong, I think I read on here the hawx xtd 130 has a WTR sole.
Yes, that's correct.
Because this question will come up a lot this year, everyone can reference this:
A WTR sole conforms to the geometry guidelines of the Touring Norm ISO 9523. That means a WTR sole will go into any binding that accepts ISO 9523, as well as bindings that accept WTR. Therefore, a WTR sole has more binding versatility than a normal full rubber Touring Norm sole.
Alpine bindings only accept soles that follow the Alpine Norm 5355.
WTR bindings accept soles that follow the WTR norm and Alpine Norm 5355.
Grip Walk bindings accept soles that follow the Grip Walk norm and Alpine Norm 5355.
Multi-Norm Compatible (Atomic & Salomon MNC, Marker Sole I.D. etc.) bindings accept Alpine, WTR, Grip Walk, and Touring.
5355 Alpine soles fit with Alpine, MNC, WTR, and Grip Walk bindings.
9523 WTR soles fit with WTR and MNC bindings.
9523 Grip Walk soles fit with Grip Walk and MNC bindings.
9523 Touring Norm soles fit with MNC bindings.
