Best New Wave pants

I just got a sweet pull over and a baseball hat from my dad. I was wondering which pants are the best for skiing in, tear aways or solid track pants? I feel like the non tear aways will be better in the rockies when it is -30C in January. I'm worried about switching from thug because all those layers were so warm and comfortable. Thoughts?

Just get 8 pairs of tear aways and layer them as needed. If you get too hot you can easily remove a layer. Thats what i do.

I feel like the new wave swag can only be kicked out in early season and spring for places with cold ass temps. Not worth being soaked and freezing during winter
