2017/2018 Fat-ypus

Looks like the new updated skis just dropped, the new graphics looking good! Also added a new model to the lineup, the D-Vice, 5-point design 110 underfoot looks like an interesting ski. Getting my new pair of D-Sender's mounted up this week, stoked!

Been thinking about Fat-ypus for a bit now. Do you already have a pair? Wondering about the mounting point on these. D-Senders in particular. L-Toros look sick too. Is the recommended line close to center?

Never had fat-ypus but have heard solid things about them. Its too bad they lost Adam Delorme. Graphics are awesome though.

Yes I have a pair of the D-Senders in 194 so they have slightly less camber underfoot than the smaller versions and less rocker on the tail. Just doing a quick measure here it looks like the recommended line is around 8cm(-7.5 to -8) back from center. I got a chance to try the M5 last year and really enjoyed them, was just wanting something a little more "chargy" to add to the quiver(I have something close to the M5 dimensions now) so I went with the D-Senders. Might have to snag another pair this year though now they are re-stocked with sizes.

Have you been on them yet? Wondering how they ride. Feeling it might be lots of fun if they are easy to pivot and smear around.

I have not been on the 194s yet this year, itching to take them out at this point. Was able to ride the 184s a few years back, granted a different shaped ski somewhat, but those were so much fun and could be a DD out west. I know the 194s are supposed to be a more "serious" ski compared to the 184 but it sounds like past reviewers had a lot of fun on it as well. I'll post up more when I finally get a chance to take them out. At the prices for the old models online, even if they aren't for me I can break even selling them and still hook someone up.

They removed the I-Rock with a flat tail (meant for touring). Considering how large that ski is, that's no surprise.
I love my D'Riddum 188s with athlete flex for touring, but the D'Vice would be a great general conditions bc ski.
Graphics are better than last year.

Was seriously eying a pair of the D'Riddum's not long ago. Agree with the graphics too, they are way better this year.

Weird little bump right here but would love to hear some things on the D'Vice. Found a pair of the 182cm athlete flex versions on TGR for a good price and am considering making them into a Midfat daily/charger. Just ordered up the SHIFTs and am selling off my Jmos and Jeff 114s so Ill only really have Gypsys and Billy Goats as my college quiver. I like fat skis so 105-115 is a perfect daily size for me so are they worth it? Gimme some reviews, thoughts, what you've heard, etc. Thanks!

I've got the m5 which is a pretty similar ski and it fucking rules. It pivots so quickly in the trees, spins easy. Lovesss to go sideways and pivot. Butters are a dream ..... Only problem I had was float in pow but that's because the ski was way too short for me (177) so I had to ski backseat. My next ski for sure is going to d riddims

The D'riddum is pretty similiar to the M5 (just bigger and wider) so check out what I said above, it may give you an idea.

FYI I have the athlete flex which are 20% stiffer, but yes they're great for pow. They can pivot & are forgiving, but reward an aggressive stance. I've never had stability issues in pow.

How are they in hard pack and tracked out snow?
