wpskiDid you guys see numinous yet? I don't think it's a best movie ever, but it was my favorite this year
Numinous was insane. Kye Peterson put together the best segment of anyone in skiing for sure. I love Sammy Carlson in To Be, but there is no way that segment deserved best performance at the Powder awards over Kye.
A few others I will mention.
Something About McConkey
All.I.Can
The Way I See It.
Under The Influence
One For The Road
Few Words
1999
Uprising

Ski Movie 3
Seven Sunny Days
Attack of La Nina
Immersion
There are a bunch of others I could throw in there. I will say that 1999 was big for me, because that was the first winter I lived in Squaw. It was a pretty epic winter, and they document it very well. I still love to watch 1999. Despite what Gaffney says in the beginning of the movie, the big mountain skiing still holds up, that stuff is still high performance today. That movie really captured what it was like to live in Squaw that winter. I really like movies with inbounds footage, it would be nice if there was more of that. I'm now an ex-ski bum with a real job who skis Mammoth 40 days a year, but when I want to remember that magical time I pop in 1999. Interestingly, I stayed in Tahoe for half a decade and never got another snow year quite as good as 98/99, it was pretty epic. I never had a bad season, but that first one was the best. Immersion also has some great Squaw footage. One of the things I liked about MSP's movie this year was the Squaw footage.
