Mountain Collective Pass

Hello friends, my gf and I purchased a set of collective passes and we want to try and hit all the resorts on the west side of this continent. we were thinking about leaving right after Christmas but then again conditions might not be at their prime then. so my question to you is when would be the best time to go? i know it's pretty early to tell if the west will get another good or bad year but i'd like to at least get a full park to lap in case the snow is shit. Also i'll attach the route we'll be taking and if you think there's a better road or some cool destination we should go see then feel free to let me know.

if yall need a hotel room at some point, mtn collective passholders do get special lodging rates during the season, at least at snowbird you can.

Aspen Snowmass can take a bit to shred. Good easy free transport between mountains but 4 mountains is 4 mountains. If the snows good you can skip buttermilk imo and just rage aspen, highlands, and snowmass. I would def spend sometime at highlands around temerity. Snowmass has a good park as well as a good mtn in general if you're short on time though.

yeah we may end up getting a room at a hostel or or one of the lodges if it ends up being too cold for the camper.

I live in Taos and TSV is my home mountain. I have seen our best time is Late January into Mid February. With us being so far south it takes a bit to get enough snow to open everything up but when we get a good dump its amazing with how steep our mountain is. Hope this helps and let me know when your'e here so I can show you around!

totally! i think we're gonna change our dates to February since that seems to be the best time to go for most places. and i'll try to keep this thread updated with our whereabouts and hopefully i can shred with some of you guys!

This trip looks awesome, the Mountain Collective Pass just begs for a roadtrip like this.
We have ski areas guides for all of these areas, https://www.evo.com/travel-guides they're definitely helpful if you've never been, although I'm sure the locals on here can give you some good advice, too.

bump! anyone in salt lake wanna let us park our camper in front of their house for a couple days? being able to plug in somewhere would be super clutch too. and if anyone wants to show us around town/the resorts that would be super sick.

Yo dude, sounds like your on the same trip me and couple friends have going on. We’ve been posted up in jackson for about 2 months now waiting for it to snow down south. If you see this rig around it ours, we can give you some ideas on where to park around jackson since they’re not the friendliest here about camper parking.

that would be very much appreciated. so far we've been exploring some of the national forests and staying there for a few nights, then we try to find an rv park to charge the batteries if we need to. but they are pricy and as you probably know we're on a tight budget.

have you been to sun valley much? and how's jackson hole?

The problem with jackson is there isn’t really any national forrests very close to town or the resort so you have to get a little more creative. I’m not sure about rv parks since our rig doesn’t plug in at all.

Never been to sun valley, its on the list we just haven’t left here for awhile since it wasn’t snowing anywhere.
