Tell me about your ARV 96s/ Al Dente's/ Edollo

Hey,

Just looking for people opinions on the arv 96, edollo/al dente.

Anyone ridden both? Flex differences? What do you prefer?

i havent ridden the edollos enough to notice the difference but theyre very similar anyway

i rode the arv (when it only came in 96) for years doing literally every kind of skiing on them and i adore them. only got a different pair to replace them cause i was poor at the time. can't recommend this ski enough, it's my favorite do it all ski

Does everyone ski the 178 edollo? Seems short to me

id ski em right around your height. theyre kinda a do it all ski and theyre def not particularly hard to ski

does the dente only come in 178? thatd be too bad

Comes in a 168, 178 and 188. If you ask me id go above your head.

What were they like until they delamend? Any skis you could compare them to?

I know how to size skis personally, just was wondering if anyone is actually skiing the 188 edollo as a park ski, not many park skis are that long.

I have skied both edollo in 188 and 178, i felt pretty stable at speeds on the 188 and a little sketch on the 178. Quinn skis a 188 and is a few inches short then me at 6 feet. The 96 is a fun ski, too much camber for my likely bc it does not work with there early rise, and i really never like the way they carved. The 106 on the other hand skis super well, easy to put on an edge and does fine in soft snow, unlike the 96. The 96 chatters a lot due to its construction and the 106 had some problems with delams... I might look at other ski companies if you get what i am saying, because i would rather see someone pay a few more dollars and get a far superior product.

Thanks! That was the info I was looking for, looks like I'll be on the lookout for a used pair of 188 edollos to see if I like them. Haven't been on many non-on3p park skis in what seems like forever, so was just interesting in trying something new.

I have also been debating between a 188 dollo or a 184 arv 96. I like the idea of an edollo but I think the ARV fits what I want to do a lot more.
