I believe that you used to be able to click the username of the member you were messaging and it would link you to their profile. Since you are no longer able to do this, I find that I am constantly copying the username of the member, pasting it in the searchbar, and navigating to their profile that way. This seems a long way around a problem that could be remedied pretty easily.
