What types of skis are these?

These are some time older style skis. Due to the small waist wish they won't really handle much except groomers. Don't know how reliable they'd be either due to their age.

Those are shot-skis.

In all serious, though, don't buy those. They have to be at least 20 years old so not only are they laughably outclassed by modern equipment but they're potentially dangerous. The bindings in particular will most likely shred your ligaments. That's because the plastic in the bindings isn't meant to last 20+ years so the bindings are now considered to be indemnified. What that means is that the manufacturer no longer guarantees that they will work and with no manufacturer guarantee, no respectable ski shop will do any adjustments or repairs on the bindings. Basically, the skis are only usable as shot skis or wall art. DON'T BUY THEM.

Get them. They will make you a better skier than 90% of the kids in the park nowadays.

So you already have these skis and you got them for free? Cool score OP. If you can get the bindings adjusted for your boots you should ski them. More fun to have those then to have to go into the smelly rental shop. I used to have a lot of fun on similar skis here in the PNW. Keep your eyes out for something fatter and with rocker though because eventually you will want it to ski off the groomers and in our "cascade concrete" Deals pop up all the time so no need to spend too much when you are learning.
