At work: Bose QCwhatever. BT noise cancelling over ear homies
At the gym: TaoTronics BT buds and/or Audioflood waterproof iPod+headphones in the pool
Walking around or commuting: JBL Sportflex or whatever the hell their wired buds are called

Sony MDR-1000x

I was looking into over the ear noise cancelling bluetooth headphones and assumed Bose was the best option, but the MDRs have beat the Bose in a ton of reviews so I bought both the Sony's and the Bose's to try them both out and return one.

The Sony's sound better hands down, and the noise cancelling is better too. I returned the Bose QC35s almost immediately. For bluetooth over the ear headphones with a good mix of sound quality, noise cancellation, battery and price, the MDR-1000x are currently the best headphones available. Apple Airpods are IMO the best earbud style headphones out right now but thats just my opinion and not fact

Nice, I just picked up the v moda M-100 from my local BestBuy for $149, on the clearance rack. Talk about a good deal. They rip for electronic music. Bass hits hard.

I also got some Hifiman HE-400 for at home listening, these cans straight up blow your mind for Electronica. They feel like you step into a room of sound, the bass makes your chest pound, the trebles all sparkly without being too sibilant.

Ive been using Sennheiser Amperiors as my closed back skiing headphones the past few years, they have a high clamping pressure, yet arent uncomfortable for me. They also sound great, probably the most "balanced" of all my headphones.

Sometimes I use cheap Koss KSC75 for skiing too,($19 at k-mart) for a great sounding open back that I can still hear my surroundings with.

Shure SE215. Absolute best for the money and you can wear them under your helmet just fine, as they don't protrude from your ear.

Apple AirPods for school
Normal apple earphones (that come w the phone) for skiing
Beats pro's for jamming and vibbing at home.

Skullcandy Buds right now for running, but I need some new ones since they're static shocking me. Anyone know of any good running earbuds that stay in place, but dont block out noise? Gotta still hear traffic so I dont die on the road. Also not Bluetooth.

Sol Republics are great. The sport relays have a great fit in your ear and they don't stick out much. Sound is pretty good too with rich lows and mids.

only the cheapest buds I can find. whether they cost $8 or $60 they seem to always stop working after 6 weeks or so.

and some sennheiser studio headphones for pro tools

I've always used the $15 skull candy Ink'd for skiing, at the gym, skating and any other physical activity. When I'm doing homework I've always loved by over the ear Sullcandy X Level 1's. I got them from the level 1 website for like $20 both have amazing quality for the price and I've had my current sets for over 2 years almost 3 now!

I use audio technicas ath-m50x for producing or casual listening and my bragi dash anytime I'm out of the house. They're great cause they're completely wireless, pretty discreet, 4gb of storage for whenever I don't have my phone or its dead, and they're waterproof so I occasionally go swimming with them
