Step 1: Ski towards rail
Step 2: jump onto rail
Step 3: block with front ski and keep back ski flat
Step 4: look at the end of the rail
Step 5: afterbang
Step 6: feel good

Option 1 Find largest rail with the biggest gap between it and the the rail.
Gather friends with cameras to watch.
Bomb the hill and pop like with the intent to clear it.
Enjoy the view from up top while you are soaring over the rail.
When you realize you won't clear it extend you tails downward so it looks like you taped on purpose.
Ride away. and claim you did the rail.

Option 2
cruise through the park avoiding snakes like a boss
act like a snake got in your way and you are loosing control
run right into the side of a rail
when people ask how you got that bruise on your face say " I hit a rail skiing like a boss"

Option 3
find a small non-nutable rail
go slow
pop
turn
spread feet about shoulder width
land on rail keep turning because you don't know how not to
fall off end
ride away switch

But seriously op there's a ton of great tutorials out there which might help a lot. Google jake mullers tutorial at empire tutorials or whatever.

Step 1 go faster than usual if you're hitting a box
Step 2 what ever your natural turn direction is, you're going to pop from that side of the lip. So if you're left foot forward you pop from the right side of lip and vice versa.
Step 3 Bend knees then pop.
Step 4 Turn completely 90, legs should length apart and flat.
Step 5 Look at end of rail and then use your front foot like a gas pedal. Dont be afraid to work that edge in for more control and push to either go to switch or forward
Step 6 Afterbang (most important part)

Come at the rail, tell yourself your gonna do this shit, keep your eyes on the rail, get a solid pop, get your shoulders parallel to the rail before you land on the rail, spread your feet just a little more than shoulder width, land on the rail, angle your front heel down (pedaling) so you don't just jump over the rail, look at the end of the rail, stay relaxed with knees slightly bent, don't let skis get to close together and don't rotate shoulders forward until your very close to the end of rail.

Hope these steps help. You'll fall some and you'll land some, just keep practicing and become more comfortable. You got this!!

Also use the search bar and look for other threads about learning rails since there are so many with solid advice in them but at the end of the day you can read all the advice you want but still never get it if you don't just COMMIT
