Summer setup

I made a box for a backyard off season setup out of pvc and just tested it with my skis, but it doesn't slide very well. Someone suggested coating the top of the pvc with laundry detergent, but it still isnt nearly as slippery as any box ive ridden on. Any recommendations on how to make it slide better?

clean your skis, water it after every few hits

Are your skis brand new/just been sharpened? might need a park tune. Then again, who uses new skis on a summer setup. if your desperate you could try teflon spray. That stuff slides well.
