daannnnieelif you watch a lot of live shows, very few rappers actually rap without having background lyrics and heavily relying on them these days. The only two that I've watched that had no audible background lyrics are action bronson and asap ferg
thebrotherweaseumm what the fuck kinda standard have we lowered ourselves down to? the beasties boys wouldnt be caught dead sining over back tacks, either would enimen, or the backstreet boys. i see the comments on Post Malone's live videos and for some fucked up reason, everyone says he has a good voice? but he needs to use back tracks? like wtf?? if ur going to use backtracks at a live show, then dont even show up.
Jesse_Fuck the beastie boys, backstreet boys, Eminem, all of them, post Malone is the greatest rapper of our generation. You're just envious that you're too retarded to enjoy his music like the rest of us. I'll have you know he has the voice of an angel who ascended from the heavens.
thebrotherweaseHe is a drunkard
Jesse_If Jesus had a voice it would be post malones
thebrotherweasePost Malone farts out of his mouth. He is Stupid Malone.
Jesse_I'm not sure your understanding, post Malone is a lyrical genius, much more intellectual than any other mainstream rappers and old. One could even say the greatest of all time. His song white iverson, which is in fact my favourite song, is actually discussing the privileged minority within the education system and the struggles these minority's face in regards to our distopian like socialist society. He is a genius and has a sense of music and style ahead of our time and you're to much of a retard to see it. Look for the deeper meaning of his music and listen to his perfect angelic voice.
thebrotherweaseCultural appropriation, the guy is white and repping cornrows. He is stealing the flavor of black rap. Charlemagne the God calls him a culture vulture. Putting lyrics in your song like "saucin saucin" is true genius. The guy is a poor mans Riff Raff. At least Riff Raff was from the hood, Stupid Malone is rich kid.

theabortionatorYeah, he fucking blows.
There is some good rap still coming out but most/all of the mainstream shit is fucking whack.
Jesse_Nah man, your just not seeing it, post Malone is the future.
theabortionatorThat's why I started building a fucking time machine.
Yolo
DeepskierCouple good tracks, don't actively listen to him. SO UGLY

K-Dot.Lol. Hot takes:
1. Charlemagne the God is an idiot who will say anything for a reaction and to appear controversial
2. Rap is not exclusively black, it hasn't been for some time
3. Hip hop is mainstream culture, it can't be "stolen" by anyone
4. Cultural appropriation is not inherently negative, every person does it
5. Riff Raff is not "hood", his brother is a pro snowboarder for example
6. The majority of rappers these days come from backgrounds of some financial privelege

Lieutenant_DanThis is very true, people really don't want to believe a lot of the music industry is fake, but let me try telling you one more time. THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS VERY FAKE. A lot of artists/rappers are putting on a persona/alternate identity to entertain you... You would be surprised on how many rappers who claim the stuff they do, have never been apart of it in the first part.
Jesse_Future is a great example of this haha. In an interview he said he loves to rap about lean drugs and shit but "he doesn't live that". It's just an act he puts on, future isn't actually a sizzurp addict irl.
thebrotherweasePromoting hard drugs to a fan base of 12 year olds. Nice
Nobody over the age of 10 likes this guy, he is a joke. You gotta be fucked in the head to take this clown seriously.
Jesse_True but in reality there's a ton of people that love his shit just like there's a ton of people who like Malones stuff, I don't, was joking. But I mean at least post isn't inaudibly mumbling lean lean lean sizzurp /skkkrt dat way lean percasets lean. So he's got that going for him.

thebrotherweaseRapping about lean and even doing it is so played out. Like it is the lowest form of drugs u can do. If ur gonna claim to do hard drugs at least talk about something good like cocaine
Jesse_Agubutabutha lean aubutugababa skkkrt! Uhubababagah ay! Skkrt percasets bohuhuhuhu molly uh lean uh skkrt! Flex uh ouu unnnnnunba esketitttt!!!!
Just lay over sum trap beats and autotune and you're on your way to becoming the next future.
thebrotherweaseI don't even know who the fuck future is and I don't want to know. I'd never subject myself to that horse shit.

Jesse_I summed up up pretty much perfectly
thebrotherweaseStupid Malone says he like Uzi whoever that is, talk about a group of dipshits. I mean regardlsss of what their doing, they r still putting so effort in it, and it's shit.
lawsList 3 songs by uzi you have listened too, and 5 songs by post and what they talk about because I don't even think you have listened to any of his stuff and if you have it hasn't been their best work so les hear it
thebrotherweaseA white dude singing about wanting to be the white version of s black basketball player are some really deep lyrics
lawsSo you havent listened to any of Uzi's songs and only White Iverson, which can very easily be argued that that song isn't meant to be deep, who do you listen to that only raps about deep stuff, immortal technique? Ya obviously you have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to rap and your opinion is practically useless but please continue to argue that someone who had hundreds of millions of views on YouTube and Spotify has no talent it's quite entertaining to watch you make a fool of yourself, carry on.
thebrotherweaseDance forever with the devil
Rebecca black made a song called Friday and ppl listened to it, ever hear of Gangnam Style? U can put a catchy tune together and find someone who will listen to it, it doesn't mean it's good. The guy appeals to teeny boppers I agree, but nobody over the age of 12 is listening to these ppl. Their fan bases r a bunch of kids, which is some straight up pedo shit
lawsThe people at his concert said otherwise. I didn't see one person under 16 at the show I went to, and a lot of the venues he is playin at are 16+ and 18+ and already sold out and Gangnam style I don't know who the twelve year old is here.
thebrotherweaseDoes he actually charge for tickets? You know he lip syncs his songs right

Lieutenant_DanUzi as a rapper is trash, but uzi as a pop/rockstar artist he kills it. Very entertaining, crazy persona, and a great performer. The new wave of rap is being criticized for its lack of lyrical sense, flow, mumbling, and basically riding the beat. Which they deserve because it's not really conventional rap, and it would take hundreds more artist and countless years to see that as normal rap. Hence the beat sells for a lot of the new artist rappers. Whereas if you listen to the old days of rap like technique, wu tang, NWA, etc you didn't need some crazy uptempo beat with hard hitting lows. People loved the ability of those rappers to create a lyrical masterpiece, with a message/story, and be understandable...

lawsI completely agree wu tang and nwa were legends and still are, their music was meaning full but you also have to think about what was happening at the time of their careers, they were fighting for their own basic rights, it brought out real emotion and I'm not saying today that blacks arnt in constant danger because there still are extremists and people who have a major grudge but that was ten and this is now. Today many rappers arnt in the same position and to be fair at the end of the day you are gonna like it or you arnt and there is plenty of reason to not like modern day rappers I just don't think this kids reasons are legit and honestly it just seems like he wants attention but hey I like post and I can't make anyone else like him if they don't.
