Hip hop in skiing. Weird, right?

What's with the obsession with hip hop in skiing? I'm not complaining, half of my music is either with tang or k dot, I'm just confused, cause most freeskiers are 16-25 year old white dudes from the suberbs....

White kid from the burbs here. I personally don't listen to hip hop when skiing I prefer some chill ass reggae. Everyone likes different shit

It's whatever, man. That music and overall "style" or "trend" or however you want to phrase it has driven this sport like no other; it has produced some insane influence and progression for every single person involved.

well everyone is obsessed with hip hop, and its been that way for a long time whether you're a skier or not. (unless you're not 16-25, or from the suberbs)

There is some pretty great rock out there to ski to, modern and oldies. 90's punk rock is super hype. I don't think country is the only other genre.

People listen to music that flows relative to what they're doing. Shockingly a hip hop beat has a nice flow for hitting park.

I look at mumble rap and the new style of skiing in the same way in terms of their influence on their respected areas. You either hate it or you love it.
