What's it like going from a 84 waist to 108 waist park ski

Hey ns was just seeing from people who have given up on the twig life and gone beefier in the park there experience was, like was it hard to get use to? Does it seem unnatural? Just concerned I might have jumped the gun on a pair of skis??

Went from an 86 to 102 which was set 5cm back (basically used my all-mtn ski in the park for a day). I actually found it surprisingly easy to use and it felt very solid on landings and fine on rails

I'm skiing AR7s atm and eyeing up K108s for this season and thinking the same, wanna set em about -2.5cm and use them as my one ski quiver. Think you'll be fine from all accounts

I usually ride 86 underfoot park skis, but rode ARV 106s in the park all spring and it takes a day to get used to it, but as soon as you're used to it its NBD

I went from a 95 to a 120 waist (pulled the trigger on my first pow sticks) this year and struggled my first day, second day was chill and now they feel really good and mellow

I noticed that it was super stable on rails and landings cause tech stuff became a tad tougher nothing too bad though. More pros then cons for sure

I actually went backwards from the blends 100 underfoot to a 88mm ski for A few days since my bindings exploded. It might take you a couple runs to get used to it but it isn't hard to figure out. Skinnier skis might grip rails better but it isn't a significant difference. Fatter skis are honestly way more fun though.

I went from k2 domains to surface outsider. If you get skis with similiar build (nearly same rocker/camber profile, sidecut, and turning radius you shouldnt notice much difference. Bigger skis are gonna feel more stable on rails but harder to throw big spins on jumps (may require a bit more power when throwing spins) but that should be obvious given the wider ski equals more weight. What skis did you just buy and what skis did you ski before. What do you ski more, rails or jumps?

I went from lib tech tranny nas to custom kartel108 so big difference in ski and I like to hit rails more than jumps

the kartels have enough camber so they wont feel ridiculous different. Youll be fine, just give it a few days and youll be used to them. You bought a kickass set of skis
