the ski in this post is not the pow ski, its a slat re-make in the b ops line... diff design than slat, I wouldn't doubt its actually less than 98 under foot.

Yes i know. but i still think its going to be 96-98 underfoot and in 181 length. At least thats what im hoping for.

It is 98 underfoot and offered in a 176 and a 186.
scratchskier321how do you know for sure? why would they make a park ski 186?
Because I have friends, and not everyone is a midget, 186 isn't THAT big for a park ski, not to mention it is on the all mountain side of the spectrum, there is a big market of all mountain skiers that this ski would be good for.

he's right. my nordica soul riders are 186 and do not ski long at all and handle all mountain well. i just wish they had more tip rocker like the that of the old slat. That is why this BO98 interests me. I did really like the 181 length of the slat but 186 would not scare me away from it.

Yeah I mean most of the ARV line has a ski 184 or bigger, most park skis are offered in a 185ish length or bigger. Just cop the BO98 in a 186, they are a lot lighter and stilll have that rocker but with a little camber. Trust me you'll be fine.
DaBeersNope, Blackops 98 will be offered in a 181cm with a 191-192cm version coming later.
DeepskierWho's your source?
DaBeersIts called Blackops for a reason...
guys, my inside man told me they come in TOP SECRET and TOP SECRET lengths, and they're TOP SECRET at the waist. for sidecut it just says "TACTICAL" ...?? anyway, give them your money!

spot on, but for real the 98 is legit. I skied it for 2 months this summer and it rips. Super fun and has a lot more energy and pop than the Slat. Same waist width but different construction and shape.
Be sure to keep a lookout on the dark web for it this fall.

Man I live in gear talk and 9/10 times I'm helpful. So sorry post police I like to make a joke here and there.

the biggest thing that was wrong with the Slat is that it only went up to 181cm. It wasn't designed as just a park ski bud, more all mountain oriented than anything.

p white/logan mostly ski this in the park it seems. I was hoping for a more park oriented slat.
nah its called black ops because rossignol are master trolls in advertising and marketing. sooo cringeworthy, its just a fucking symmetrical pow/all mtn freeride pow ski
.lenconAlso, who got on a pair of BlackOps in the 118 waist in a 186? And how was it?
I skied em quite a bit the last couple years. They're pretty damn heavy but in turn that makes em tanks that will literally blast through anything. Stiffer than one would think for a backcountry jib ski but it helps to stomp all landings. The only drawback was the weight making them something you wouldn't wanna spend a full 9-4 pow day on haha

Just do your squats and eat your Wheaties and you'll be golden
.nastyI’m usually the one telling people that. Haha Seriously, go actually ski and you’ll know what I mean.
I know what you mean, im just saying after a several day storm, you get used to em for a while and they are great. also going back to normal park ski feels like you could send a triple 10 on flat.
