Dynafit beast heel modification compatable with pivot?

Hey guys, I just got a pair of the original dynafit beast 16s through a work trade. I'm wondering if anyone on here as any experience using one boot for both beasts and pivots without taking out the plate shim on the heel. I was doing some research online and I have come up with mixed results. On the blister review they said it did not seem like an issue with a pivot heel as long as the forward pressure was adjusted correctly, but on dynafits site they say any boot with the heel modification should be only used with the beasts. There's a thread on tgr with mixed reviews, most saying it's possible with just a little modification to the plate. It's a weird problem for sure, but I'm really trying to avoid either getting new boots, or having to constantly by switching the shims out.

I'm not sure it's the same thread on tgr, but I remember reading 2-3 people reporting everything works fine with Pivot and dynafit horseshoe and nobody saying it ain't working. I had beasts for a while but never used touring boots with pivots. I don't see any reasons why it should not work this way cuz horseshoe is not affecting Pivot pressure points. The only thing I can think of is adjusting pivot heel 1 mm further back to compensate boot lip thickness added by the horseshoe, so the vertical release would work like more properly...? I still think this additional 1mm is not affecting vertical elasticy. Horizontal elasticy is not affected at all.

The horseshoe did not work with my Atomic Tracker boots and pivots. The horseshoe interferes with the forward pressure barrels. It may work with some boots depending on the width of the heel.
