Swandog7Have you checked out the Moment Deathwish? Potentially go for a 190, 112 underfoot with triple camber to help you fuck up chop, moguls idk about as I personally have no experience on them. I have ridden the Bentchetler in a 185 and they are a really fun, solid ski. Might not be ideal for chop, but they can do anything allmountain wise.
N41v131355You need to specify skis a bit more. As for me, pow skis are skis with 115+ waist. Soft tips actually will not be very good for chop and moguls as you need them to break through and compensate bumps, and softer the tips will be = less compensation you will have. As for the skis that you mentioned ARV116 is basically the same old JJ, so they are very soft, chetlers are just a little bit stiffer and also they are very pow oriented ski with 120 waist.
My suggestions (around 115 waist category):
Moment BIbby Pro - probably most well balanced allround pow ski
On3p Kartel 116
Black Crows Anima - tried them, they behave close to bibby
Moment Deathwish - as already mentioned above
Around 108 waist category
On3p Kartel 108
Black crows Atris
Moment Meridian
K2 marksman
DeepskierI'm not too crazy about moment, but was looking into Kartel 108s. That might be where the over lap is hard because a pow ski has a softer nose for float and a mogul ski will have a longer stiffer shovel. I work in a Starbucks where we have a pair of the atomic 40th anniversary bent chetlers on the wall and they are so fucking cool I would buy them in a heart beat if I could. I have only ever seen one pair that sold. It will probably come down to an arv 116 (or some kind of JJ ski) or some bents possibly some black ops. Might help to mention the widest ski I've ever been on is my slat at 98 underfoot which usually did fine, but this past season was so ridiculous it made me want to invest in some boards but we probably will never see another season like that.
Swandog7The widest prior to this season that I rode we're 95 underfoot icelantics. I hopped to a bentxhetler 15cm longer than my parks skis and was good afterike 2 days of riding

N41v131355Yeah I see what you're saying. Well, my advice is not to go extra-wide. I was rocking Bibbys as a pow-allmountain ski and it was really amazing, but when I added Kartel 108 to the quiver... damn. It's not even about on3p or moment, it's about the waist. 108 is much more responsive, playful, turnable, etc. And they still float pretty well. So now I'm taking Bibbys out only if there is like 1ft or more of fresh snow or if I'm skiing big lines.
And what about lenght, with your height and weigh I'd say you should stick to ~ 183-185cm. I'm 5'10 and 150 and skiing trees with anything like 188-190 I felt like it's too much of a ski.

BamskiChop and moguls demand pretty different things from a ski. Where do you ski OP?
Personally, I found skis like the Bibby were pretty solid for most conditions up at Whistler except super hardpack. Thing is, having a ski that busts crud is usually going to be stiff, heavy and damp which means it's going to be a beast to maneuver in moguls.
If you want a ski that's an absolute beast in chop, I really liked Blizzard's Cochise. They're pretty substantial skis, very high top end on them and were a ton of fun. Another option is the Moment Belafonte (which is becoming the Tahoe 106 next year I think - same ski other than the name). These two options are a bit narrower - so their pow performance is lessened for better handling elsewhere. If you want something fatter (and more badass) the Blizzard Bodacious is a super solid ski.
All of these skis have big turn radii, meaning they'll come alive when given some space to run. They need more of a driving style of skiing instead of a centered style that you may be more used to coming from skis like ARVs. They're not playful, they're business skis - but if you want something with decent enough float that can freight train their way down the mountain - this is the ticket.
OldNJadedRossi Black Ops hold their edge and track incredibly well in chunder, mank, sun crust. They are heavy, but move with authority over any kind of snow.
I liked to turn em sideways in the bumps and blow the moguls up.
-SnowSnoli-K2 marksman. Super fun ski and surprisingly solid on crud and hard pack. 106 under foot with a decent rocker to keep you going most days.
SessionThe fact that some of you recommend somne super light and floppy skis tells me you don't really know what chop is. Must be nice.

Deepskieror I just know how to ski it?

hot.pocketHis point being that light and floppy skis don't work as well in chop as a heavy and stiff ski. Similar to how you CAN ski a 115+ underfoot ski for park, but it won't do as well as a park specific ski, and people suggesting light and floppy skis for busting crud aren't exactly giving the best advice.
hot.pocketAlso after years of looking at your icon I just realized it moves.
DeepskierHaha no I toataly understand you point but look at Meeks, there are some exceptions, black ops arnt soft and floppy though, I look at JJs because I'm an armada whore no matter what it is, and I don't really know shit about atomic or k2. Either way it's a moot point because until you see my skiing you can't talk about it with validity.
Hhaha yeah it's very low key part of the reason I love it, also sam L Jackson and a kick ass move/gif all together
SessionYou are the only one that has talked about your skiing.

hot.pocketIt's nothing to do with your ability to ski chop, it's other users suggesting light and floppy skis as the best for chop and moguls, when they're not. Sure, you can effectively ski these conditions on light n floppy skis, but just about any skier will perform better in chop on heavy n stiff skis over light n floppy.
Deepskier'
100% agree but I dont see how we got here from there.
hot.pocketI don't know either, good luck with the ski search!
cydwhitAs some have said, I'd go Deathwish for what you describe. Kartel 116 would be fine, Bibby would be fine, Black Crows Anima would be fine too. Lots of options here.
