Hey guys,
In your opinion what is the best helmet for freestyle? Im looking for one that works with a hat comfortably.

I've tried a few different helmets and in my opinion the POC receptor bug is the best. little pricey but i think its worth it. Looks kinda whack if you don't wear goggles with it tho

I would second the maze. If you wanna wear a hat you could always go up a size on any helmet really. Unless your noggin is huge. I used to be a goggles and hat under the helmet no ear pads type of guy. But i kept losing headphones so now i go black helmet black goggles and ear pads with built in speakers. 100% worth it

I've had the combyn every season since it's release and I absolutely love it! It's super comfortable with that softshell technology, which helps it form more to the shape of your head. It can take a beating as well which is so nice. I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Pret Helmets all day.

Lightest weight, lowest profile, super durable, reasonably priced. I've used the Cynic for years now.

I've been in a bunch of different brands of helmets and now I ride for Giro, so I might be biased, but the Giro Ledge helmet is the best one I've been in. It's only $80 and it's got MIPS. I think I paid like $200 something for a pic helmets with MIPS before that. It's also got a bunch of adjustments so you can get it dailed to fit your head.

Helmets are kinda like boots. You should go to a shop and try them on.

Bern and Protec are my go to. I've been riding with a Smith Maze for the past 2 seasons and I fucking hate it tbh. Would have bought a different one a while ago if I wasn't so piss poor at managing my money. I've been riding without a helmet a lot because of how much I dislike it.

For some reason they sit to high on my head so I ride mazes

Buying a helmet is like buying a boot. There's no straight best for everyone. Without a good fit, a pricey helmet isn't worth shit on your head. You need to try a few on, figure out what fits with or without a hat.
