Right now im looking to buy some skis for the 2018 season and i cant decide between 2017 line blends and amplid syntaxes (core brand). Im leaning towards the syntaxes at the moment mainly because they are supposedly really light and have very light tips and tails, which i figure would make it easier for me to rotate after i pop and hit rails, etc. Since im a beginner (still learning to hit rails and ski switch), im a little worried about making this decision since the reviews of the syntaxes say that its for intermediate-advanced skiers. Would it be beneficial to have light skis like syntaxes for a beginner like me? Also, if you have any suggestions for what skis to get pls let me know.
Some things that might be important:
-im 6'1, 155lbs
-beginner in the park, but intermediate-advanced on groom
-ski in the northeast area
-looking for a park ski up to $500 that can make my grind a little easier but still allows me to ski groom without a problem
Sidenote: the main thing i was struggling with in the past season was making the initial rotation and landing both of my feet on the rail, which is the main reason im considering syntaxes.
