skiermanBy more features you mean more and better content they pay for. NS freeloads from members and 90% of it is crap. Owning two websites isn't the point, you jackass. PB is the largest action sports website and NS is about dead.... that doesn't accurately reflect the popularity of both sports, does it now? PB is still more popular than ever despite the rise of alternate places to get content because they provide top quality stuff. NS is shooting itself in the foot by not pushing for or being allowed a bigger budget to invest in legit content.

This is pretty obvious shit.

It would be cool if they did more big pieces instead of the smaller stuff. Obviously if it's user submitted it's tough to go big as you aren't making any money, and probably are a broke skier as well.

Obviously not everything needs to be building backcountry booters in some mysterious mountain range deep in the middle of nowhere Antarctica, but still.

Occasionally there are some articles about trips etc, but a lot of the big ones, are just rehashed info from a powder, freekskier, etc article. I'm stoked when some of the members come up with some epic stuff to read on here though.

In OZ we have a ski forum that is absolutely booming. Ski.com.au. Mostly old dudes though. Haha. There's some passionate skiers in there...

OlimarYeah, the people that say this site has been dead for only 2 years are probably relatively new members... there hasn't been good content/posts/members since like '12-'13 Id say.

I used to be on here for hours a day and then I feel like it just started getting shittier and shittier. Now I'll check the site maybe once a month and just get depressed and leave.

Yeah, I'm about the same. It's brutal man - the times of forums are over and we're more into comment sections and reddit-style link aggregation. The reality is people used to come for the community, but as time went on, those people who weren't into skiing that hard just kind of... left for sites more suited to them.

Its been interesting seeing how its changed over the past 10 years.

Sad I spent 10 years talking about moving to Utah, and now that I finally am, the forum is dead HAHA
