Cant help but think all these new updates haven't helped. I feel like every time I log on I have to relearn the pages layout. IMO this newest UI is fucking garbage. Bring back the Pornhub looking UI.

There used to be posts about everything, ex: gnartron had the news on lock with copy&pasta, but now there are hubs, like Reddit and insta. This was a community, not a website. Now there are bigger communities with subcommunities that people head for before they look for a specialized website.
How many new members (actual new members, not new accounts) actually join NS now?
The NS forums should just make like runescape (lol) did when then realized their population was a bunch of neckbeards reminiscing about the good ol days, they released an exact copy of the game from like '07 or something and it was fucking awesome.

Still check occasionally to see if anything interesting is happening. I feel like two years ago there were a bunch of member beefs which made things interesting. Last year it was political threads, but now a lot of the rowdier members have been banned. Now its just kids talking about vapes? Guess every summer nsg dies a little more.
I think the big culprit is social media. I'll check instagram, snapchat, and youtube before I even think to check the forums. And I don't even use social media very much compared to the newest 12-17 year old generation.

SkiBum.So I don't on this site much, mainly just snoop around these days. Have been on it forever, don't really ski anymore.

You are one of my favorite members you always have something interesting to say. Shout outs to all of the members on NS who continue to post original content and keep this dying site alive. The social media giants continues to devour most sites that are specialized nowadays and it's sad to see. I myself am a fan of this forum because the people who reside here are so passionate about skiing and understand the culture and ins and outs of it so well. I am a Reddit user but Reddit just doesn't have the level of personality that NS does because popular content gets boosted to the top and you end up not reading everything.

As I grow older this meme resides more and more with me. I didn't understand the whole fidget spinner craze and then I picked one up off of my friend's table to play with while completely hammered after a day of drinking on the 4th and was actually having fun with it and could then better understand the childhood wonderment with the toy.
