What's the best wax for summer riding? all temp? Swix UR10? What have you used? What didn't work?
Thanks!

Depends. But generally you'd want a warm temp wax (if it gets slushy in the arvo) You can always mix with red (I think swix is ur8). This will get you sliding in the morning better.

I haven't actually waxed my skis since I started summer skiing two weekends ago at Woodward. Haven't had any speed issues besides maybe the first one or two hikes of the day. The last wax I put on my sticks was warm weather mixed with a little all temp.

Warm, Slush rated. It's usually yellow to orange-ish. I use glide-on hot wax, affordable with great slide.

If you can find it, One Ball Jay's Summer Slush wax is the fucking bomb. Hard to find tho but worth it. If you can't get your paws on that, I'd say get some summer wax and mix it with all temp fluro wax.

I use the warm or very warm rated stuff. I've used graphite wax and had good luck with that too but don't know how much better it was.(Stuff leaves a graphite stain on any non-white bases for a while.) When I was in Squaw I stopped into a shop to buy wax and the the tech swore by Hertels hot sauce and it was all he had. Used it on my cousins boards and they were super stoked (they hadn't had their boards waxed in years so maybe they'd have been stoked on anything but people were out skiing in board shorts).
