BASEDJAHis the fact that something is a skate/snowboard thing a reason to not do it in skiing? FYI almost everything in freestyle skiing is inspired by skating and snowboarding, all the way from the invention of the mute grab to track pants
Chubz.lol @ "normal fisheyes"
Vignetting is dope. Only thing that matters about fisheyes is how the person holding the camera uses it.
Ryan.voytAgreed, but I just hate extreme vignetting to where the video looks like it was filmed through a tube. I just always thought that specific style of filming Belonged in skating/snowboarding for the most part
CaseyVignetting is garbage. You only do it if you suck at filming.
a_burgerI think a little bit of vignetting in the corners is ok, when it goes all the way around it bothers me a lot though, same if it's a little off center, takes 5 seconds to fix by cropping it or zooming in a bit in post
exception: this lens
mikemacDAMN! that looks fresh as hell! Is that the actual lens making that effect? or was it done in post production cropping and inlaying the shot within itself
a_burgerIt's the lens, forget what it's called tho
mikemacbummer. anyone know what that clear vignette effect is called? I'd love to track this baby down
oneill_seanYou don't have to make assumptions on others filming styles like Liam McKinley with HG some people like me actually like vigetting.
CaseyOkay sorry I am not saying it can't be done well, it's just often used by bad filmers as a crutch because it's the one technique they know of.
