Frustration "No Sponsor"

As already depicted in the title - is there anyone out there who, just as me, just skis because its so damn fun, yet they got quite good at it.

Being a student and broke as fuck all the time, didn't we all think about maybe trying to get some free gear?


Well I have. I didn't even get replies... I would understand a kind "Nah mane, you suck and our team is full, but hey, keep trying"... but just no reply at all - that's kind of a punch in the face.

I don't ski for the money, I ski for the fun. Skiing is hella expensive and there are lots of people where you wonder how they got sponsors (no front) - just kinda frustrating to struggle to even only get some hardware (skiing on old used planks since 1.5 years now).



Anyone else experienced this? Discussions? I'm not whining I'm just wondering...

Lil_G-nusyou didn't watch it at all, noone did 1 pretz 1 on a downrail in 2007... but everybody seems to miss that shot sorta


Lil_G-nuslot's of people seem to miss that I study and there's barely time besides studying and working to go ski... so yah, I feel lucky if I can afford the fucking expensive season passes in Switzerland, but thanks for informing me that getting a job is so easy lol

Networking is a paramount importance in both the ski and business world. Odds are you're not gonna be blessed with an opportunity to be sponsored through emails or posting edits online. So bite your tongue, have fun, meet and connect with new people in the freeski community, be patient, and over time something will come up.

I think there's much to be learnt from this thread regarding being spanserized. Even if your better than kids from PC, if you give off a desperate vibe and vent your frustration about not beIng sporsored to sponsors you won't get sponsored.

it's perfectly round, perfectly down, and 6m is a little short but that doesn't make it easier.
